Save, insert and copy sections

A section is a whole page area containing multiple blocks. The section features are operated via the gear icon on each section.

Open the section settings

  1. Open a Shopping Experience in the editor.

  2. Each section shows a gear icon next to the existing section actions.

  3. Click it. The Section settings dialog opens with several groups:

    GroupContent
GeneralEditable section name (also visible in the navigator).
ClipboardCopy section, Paste section after, Save section.
Insert saved sectionInsert a section from the library before / after.
    VisibilityVisibility settings for the section.

Save a section to the library

  1. Open the Section settings of the section.
  2. Under Clipboard, click Save section.
  3. Enter a name and click Save.

The section is stored in the Section Library with all its blocks and elements.

Insert a saved section

  1. Open the Section settings of the section next to which you want to insert.
  2. Under Insert saved section, pick the entry in the Saved section field.
  3. Click Insert before or Insert after.

On insert, the section, all blocks and all slots get new IDs – the inserted section is an independent copy.

Copy and paste a section

  1. Open the Section settings and click Copy section under Clipboard.
  2. Open the target section's settings and click Paste section after.

Clipboard is session-scoped

Like blocks, the section clipboard is cleared when the browser tab is closed. Pasting works across pages within the same session.
