Manage templates
You manage all self-created grid templates under Content → Dynamic Grids.
The overview list
For each template the list shows:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name of the template. |
| Slots | Number of slots it contains. |
| Created at | Creation date. |
| Usage | In use (N) when the template is used in N CMS blocks, otherwise Not used. |
If there is no template yet, a hint explains how to create your first one.
Edit a template
- Click the template in the list.
- Adjust name and grid in the editor (see Create grid templates).
- Click Save.
The detail page also shows which shopping experiences use the template.
Changes take effect everywhere immediately
When you change a template, all blocks that use it pick up the new layout automatically on the next page load – you don't have to re-save the affected shopping experiences.
Delete a template
- Open the template and click Delete (or delete it from the list).
- If the template is still in use, the Grid is in use warning appears:
"This grid is used in N CMS block(s). If you delete it, these blocks will no longer display correctly. Do you want to continue?"
- Confirm only if you are sure – the affected blocks then lose their layout.
Deleting can break pages
As long as a template is embedded in shopping experiences, you should not delete it. Remove the associated blocks from the pages first, or assign them a different template.
Ready-made presets cannot be edited
The 23 bundled presets (groups Columns (equal), Columns (unequal), Multi-row) do not appear in this list – they are hardcoded in the plugin. If you need a customized variant, create your own template; it then appears under Custom blocks.
